Workout journal

A training log that keeps up between sets.

Most workout apps want you following a plan, a feed or a coach. IyalGym is a journal: log what you lifted in seconds, and it shows you what’s recovered, what’s overdue and what got stronger.

Coming to iPhone. Logging stays free — like every Iyal app, the free core stays free.

How it works

Log the set. The rest takes care of itself.

The weight carries over from your last set, so you only type the reps. The rest timer starts on its own, a superset rests once per round, and the volume adds up as you go — no Start button, nothing to save.

  • The clock rest counting down, then the session
  • The volume every working set, added as you lift
  • A1 · A2 a superset — one rest per round

      Inside the app

      A sneak peek inside.

Real screens from the release build, with ten weeks of sample training loaded.

      1. IyalGym Today: the week against a three-day goal, and a readiness dial of eight muscle groups with triceps suggested next.
        01 · Today

        What’s recovered, and what’s overdue

The week up top, then a dial of eight muscle groups — tap one to see how long it has rested and whether it’s past your usual gap.

      2. An IyalGym session: a bench press set table with a warm-up, reps in reserve on each set, a drop set and the rest timer counting down.
        02 · Session

        The session is the form

Tap + and you’re in. Each lift gets a set table: the weight carries over, the rest timer runs, and nothing needs saving.

      3. IyalGym muscle groups: sets a week for each group, each against your own usual range from the last twelve weeks.
        03 · Muscles

Measured against you, not a study

Sets a week for every muscle group, against the middle of your own last twelve weeks — so “below usual” means below you.

      4. IyalGym workouts: Push, Pull and Legs, each ready to start.
        04 · Workouts

Your training days, ready to go

Save a session as a workout. Starting it later fills each bar with what you actually lifted last time.

      5. IyalGym Progress: days trained, rest days and weeks on goal, working sets and weight lifted, and sets by muscle group.
        05 · Progress

Consistency, volume and muscles at a glance

Days trained, weeks on goal, working sets and kilos lifted — and which muscle groups are getting less than usual.

      6. IyalGym strength: new bests by estimated one-rep max over three months, from bench press up 31% down.
        06 · Strength

        See which lifts got stronger

An estimated one-rep max for every lift, with new bests dated to the session. Conservative by design: it never rounds you up.

      Questions

      Good to know.

      What will it cost?

Pricing is set at launch. Logging stays free — like every Iyal app, the free core stays free, and Pro is yours to choose.
